Queenstown, New Zealand: The world-renowned mass-participant snow event, Red Bull Homerun, is hitting Queenstown to close the season on 21 September where over 200 participants will come together at The Remarkables for an unforgettable experience.

Red Bull Homerun is pure top-to-bottom madness where participants across all levels will sprint from a starting line to strap in and hurl themselves down The Remarkables as fast as humanly possible, with an aim to be crowned the ultimate speed champion.

The unique event invites snow enthusiasts across any level to get involved: from complete newbies to elite athletes and everything in between. The aim is to have as much fun as possible, and go down the mountain in the wackiest of costumes on skies or boards before coming together to party and enjoy the Après shindig of the season.

An array of prizes will be up for grabs including the fastest snowboarder and skiier (male and female), as well as best dressed. In the ski and snowboard categories, alongside claiming the prestigious Red Bull Homerun champion title, the fastest boarder will win a Burton Snowboard and the skiier, Atomic skis.

Red Bull athlete and world-champion Nico Porteous is gearing up for his second Red Bull Homerun, saying: ‘’it’s an epic event. It’s all about everyone coming together for an awesome time to close out the season. It’s for everyone! Even if you’ve only skied or snowboarded once, you’ll love it. It’s also a great opportunity to straight-line down the hill without getting your pass pulled haha.”

The infamous event has taken over mountains around the world including Sweden, Romania and Canada and previously hit New Zealand’s snow fields in 2019 and 2022. This will be its comeback and is set to be bigger and better.
