Meet Amble: The Brand on a Mission to Get Women Outdoors
Melbourne-based sustainable outdoors brand, Amble Outdoors, is on a mission to get everyone outdoors—whether they consider themselves “outdoorsy” or not. Founded by Rhianna Knight, Amble believes that the best moments happen outside: where you feel most alive, challenge yourself, and discover what you’re truly capable of. This philosophy inspired Rhianna to create Amble, a brand known for its sustainable, high-quality outdoor gear, including waterproof jackets made from 31 recycled bottles each.
Since its inception in 2018, the female-founded brand has exclusively used recycled and organic fabrics, recycling a whopping 600,000 bottles into its products. In addition to offsetting its carbon footprint, Amble has planted over 20,000 trees. Rhianna’s goal is clear: You shouldn’t have to compromise on fit, function, style, or sustainability. Amble ensures you feel comfortable and included in the outdoors, without needing to embark on a multi-week trek to belong to the outdoor community.
Everybody Should Feel Welcome in the Outdoors
The outdoor industry has traditionally been dominated by men, often centered around extreme adventures that don’t always feel inclusive. Younger audiences, those with different body types, abilities, or even those who prefer a more leisurely pace, often find themselves underrepresented. Amble aims to change that narrative by making the outdoors more inclusive and welcoming for everyone. To support this mission, Amble has partnered with several leading outdoor brands—such as Hipcamp, Osprey, Nemo, Will + Bear, Wandering Folk, Paire, Project Pargo, and SunButter—to bring back the Adventure Grant for a second year, giving one lucky individual the chance to embark on their dream adventure.
So, What Is the Adventure Grant?
Amble is dedicated to simplifying the outdoor experience, encouraging everyone to define adventure on their own terms. The Adventure Grant is an annual competition that offers one person the chance to pursue their dream adventure, fully supported by Amble Outdoors.
The Adventure Grant Prize Is Worth $5,500
The recipient of this year’s Adventure Grant will win a prize package worth over $5,500, which includes:
$1,250 of product provided by Amble
$500 in cash
$3,700 of gear from supporting brands, including backpacks, a tent, and more
In addition to the grand prize, Amble will also offer a runner-up prize worth $500 in Amble products, selected via a popular vote from their community.
