The Cloud on Auckland’s Queens Wharf will play host to the inaugural adventureXpo, the three day adventure tradeshow starting 30 November 2018 will be the first event of its kind. “adventureXpo will provide a platform for people to experience new adventure sports and provide an avenue for retailers and wholesalers within the adventure industry to showcase and sell high quality equipment” says Event Director Craig Murray.
Murray explains that “the Cloud will be divided into four elements, wind, water, wheels and mountains, with each element highlighting activities and equipment that connect you to the environment. Bouldering, white water kayaking, surfing, mountain biking, road cycling, kite surfing, wakeboarding, trail running, road cycling, SUP, foiling and mountaineering will be some of the sports showcased”.
“adventureXpo will be more of an experience than a expo, with a high energy festival feel, we will have a number of adventurous activations, music, beer garden, sports nutrition , technology and innovative demonstrations” describes Murray. Daniel Kereopa (DK), Ultimate Water Man, big wave charger and holder of multiple national surfing titles has been appointed as the adventureXpo Water Element ambassador, DK says “this event is going to be great for adventure sports to gain mainstream exposure and engagement. Craig and the team have some really innovative ideas and I am looking forward to being an event ambassador”
Steve Dickinson from Adventure Magazine says “AdventureXpo – at last there is a company focused on bringing New Zealand its first real Adventure Expo. Adventure Magazine has been working with Craig and his team from the beginning;. are proud and excited to be the media partner with adventureXpo.”
