And you think your day was bad!
Kendell Cummings and Brady Lowry from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming, found themselves fighting for survival after a grizzly bear attacked while they were horn hunting (collectign deer horns) near Cody. The group, which consisted of four friends, had split up during their search for shed elk antlers when disaster struck.
Kendell Cummings and Brady Lowry were the first to encounter the bear, which emerged unexpectedly and went straight for Lowry. The bear mauled him, breaking his arm in the process. In an attempt to save his teammate, Cummings tried to pull the bear off, but the animal quickly turned on him. Both freinds sustained serious injuries. Cummings was flown to a Billings, Montana hospital, while Lowry was initially transported to Cody before being airlifted to Billings as well.
This intense attack highlights the dangers of venturing into bear country in the US, where encounters with large predators can escalate rapidly, requiring swift action and immediate medical attention.
