So we studied the way different bodies regulate heat while hiking in order to build the Ridgevent™. Through heat-mapping, we learned that men and women retain heat differently and in different areas of the body, and we discovered that a considered balance of insulation and ventilation up and down the back could alleviate pack overheating and discomfort.
