Oofos – comfortable recovery

editors review

In 2016 I had a subtalar fusion on my left foot. This surgical procedure is used to help relieve pain in the joint beneath the ankle joint and correct the ankle joint caused by an injury. The procedure fuses the calcaneus (the heel bone) to the talus, the bone that connects the foot to the ankle. But it does not just affect the left foot but also puts pressure on the right causing further Achilles heel issues. It’s basically a bad scene for your feet, any sort of walking was painful. Then someone suggested Oofos.

Traditional jandals may offer some comfort, but they lack cushioning and arch support and can actually lead to conditions like tendinitis. Most feet medical professionals do not recommend wearing jandals for this reason they’re not healthy for your feet.

But OOFOS was developed by veterans of the athletic footwear industry along with an expert foam chemist. They created a new material (OOfoam) that could help people and athletes recover in between workouts and after injury. The impact absorption properties of OOFOS really do take the pressure off your joints. This allows you to go about your day after a workout without adding unnecessary stress to feet and joints, giving them time to rejuvenate and recharge. It feels like you are walking on bouncy rubber at first, but once you get used to them they are amazing!

If you have any feet issue or just are keen on a more comfortable post-workout – try oofos
