TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT PHOTO COMP WITH MAMMUT

NEWS

Mammut – one of the major companies in technical gear and alpine experiences – just announced its Mammut Photo Contest 2025, centred around the theme “TAKE YOUR BEST SHOT:

The Photo Contest for Your Kind of Summer.” The contest invites photographers of all skill levels to submit their most striking outdoor shots across five creative categories – from landscapes and landmarks to food, friends, and hidden gems – with submissions open from May 15 to July 15.

Prizes include:

·         The overall winner will receive the premium segment SL2-S Kit with Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-70 from the German camera manufacturer Leica, 2 Economy Class airline tickets with SWISS (valid from any location served by SWISS), and 2 one-day Swiss Travel Passes (1st class) for unlimited travel within Switzerland. The overall winner will also receive the same prizes awarded to the category winners.

·         Each of the 6 category winners will receive a Mammut deluxe summer kit consisting of Mammut Comfort Fiber Sleeping Bag -5C, Ducan Guide Hardshell Hooded Jacket, Mountain Tough Pants, Mammut Ducan Spine 28-35 backpack, Mammut Core T-shirt, Aenergy Light Cap, Smart Wallet Ultralight, First Aid Kit Pro, Mammut Pocket Knife. Additionally, the category winners will receive a one-day guided mountain experience with 2 nights’ accommodation in Zermatt, Switzerland (excluding travel and food costs, valid until December 13, 2026), and a one-year membership in the Mammut Collective Pro Deal Program.

·         The remaining 24 finalists will each receive a Mammut ultimate summer kit, including a Mammut Ducan Spine 28-35 backpack, Mammut Core T-shirt, Aenergy Light Cap, Smart Wallet Ultralight, First Aid Kid, Mammut Pocket Knife, as well as a one-year membership in the Mammut Collective Pro Deal Program.

In a bold twist, Mammut has partnered with leading creators and athletes – including Chris Burkard, Krystle Wright, Brendan Carberry, and others – to hide gear and cameras in remote, cinematic locations worldwide. This “Finders/Keepers” activation is part scavenger hunt and part campaign launch, designed to fuel real-world adventure and creative participation. And while the images might be inspiring, this contest isn’t just for pros or peak-baggers. It’s about storytelling, connection, and emotion – your photo doesn’t have to be “epic” to win. Everyone is encouraged to enter.

An Instagram-exclusive contest dedicated to the ‘Early Check In’ category will also run from May 15 to June 15 and be judged by public community voting!

Photographers can enter the contest at Mammut.com/photocontest. An anonymous panel of award-winning photographers, Mammut athletes, and outdoor media pros will judge entries. The evaluation criteria will focus on creativity, technical execution, and emotional impact.
