Patagonian International Marathon will once again have a large turnout this year, including runners, fans and travelers from all over the world. The twelfth edition of the race, which has been run in Torres del Paine National Park since 2012, will take place on Saturday, 7 September. As custom, the available race distances for the event are 42K, 21K, and 10K.
The route for this event has stunning panoramic views of the principal, iconic mountains within the area: Cerro Paine Grande, Cuernos del Paine, Monte Almirante Nieto and Torres del Paine. This path allows adventurers to immerse themselves in one of the most impressive natural settings in the world. Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful places you can choose to run.
Runners from around the world fall in love with Patagonia.
With five months remaining before the race, there are already participants from 28 nationalities registered, which extend to five continents: “For years, we have been working to place this event in Chilean Patagonia on the world map, so we are proud to achieve this international calling,” stated Stjepan Pavicic, race director and founder of Racing Patagonia.
Asia has already confirmed runners from China and India this year. In the previous edition, there were competitors from South Korea, Israel, Taiwan, and the Philippines, which requires more than 16 thousand kilometers of travel in order to reach Puerto Natales, the base city of Patagonian International Marathon.
Europe will be represented by runners from Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Romania, among other countries. Africa will be represented by competitors from South Africa, who could be joined by other countries as well in the coming weeks, as there were visitors from Kenya and Nigeria in 2023.

Oceania, who is not far behind the others, will have representatives from Australia and New Zealand. The case of America, with regards to distance, is special: this continent will be represented by the majority of runners, thanks to the participation of competitors from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, the United States, Mexico, and Peru, among others.
Among those others, there are obviously a large number of Chilean participants who will arrive from all regions throughout the country: “We know that everyone makes a great effort, as the trip is long and involves a large investment of both time and resources. This shows that being part of this event is bigger than a dream: it’s an investment in a unique life experience,” Pavicic added.
Participants from different parts of the world will be able to enjoy the incredible landscapes of Chilean Patagonia, a place that has been constantly featured by international media outlets. The registration process can be completed at www.patagonianinternationalmarathon.com, where you can also learn more details about the route and enjoy thousands of archived photographs.
