“The Shitthropocene,”

WATCH

Patagonia’s Quality Campaign is all about multifunctional, repairable, and timeless pieces that Patagonia ambassadors and designers have been testing and updating for decades. This campaign asks the Patagonia community to demand quality products and keep gear in play for longer. Among the highlights are the new & updated Houdini jackets, Black Hole® Duffels, Packs and Cubes, PFC Free Triolet jackets and much more.

In a recent New York Times essay titled “The Low Stakes Of High Quality,” Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia writes “People ask me how [Patagonia] has managed to stick around so long…I tell them it’s been our unrelenting focus on quality, which includes making things that last and that cause the least amount of harm to our planet.”

Here a first look at our new film “The Shitthropocene” is a thought-provoking, satirical exploration of humanity’s consumption habits. Using an anthropological lens, the film turns a humorous yet brutally honest eye on how everything is turning to shit and why the impulse toward buying more crap might destroy us all. The full film launches on Monday, April 29, on YouTube and Patagonia’s homepage.
