The Fisheries Reform Scam

ENVIRONMENTAL 🌿

10,000 + submissions through LegaSea submission form – so far, so good!

Over 10,000 of you have spoken out against the Fisheries Reform Scam, but we’re far from done. Close to a million Kiwis love fishing and millions more enjoy a piece of fish on the dinner table, too.

If you haven’t made a submission yet, there’s still time. Please take a few minutes to complete and send your submission by 5 pm Friday, 11th April. Every submission matters when it comes to protecting our precious marine life and ensuring the Fisheries Act remains intact.

Our ocean and its future are in our hands. Let’s keep pushing until the very last minute. Your voice matters – together, we can protect our seas for generations to come. Make sure you submit now to have your say!

A huge thank you to the incredible people, partner organisations, and companies who’ve championed this campaign so far. It’s clear that New Zealanders want these damaging changes stopped. We’re calling out Shane Jones, the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries, to uphold the principles of sustainability and accountability. He’s accountable to us, the public – not the large seafood corporations. If you have submitted, then please keep sharing what’s going on and encouraging friends and family to do the same.

Takes 5 mins to do and a lifetime to be thankful for….
